Be A Contestant

Does your human child want to be a contestant on The Big Fib podcast?

Send a video application of your child to thebigfib@gzmshows.com. In the video application, we ask that kids:

• introduce themselves with their full name, their age, and where they live,
• talk about some of their favorites: activities, school subjects, animals, foods, etc.,
• tell us about a hobby, skill, or an accomplishment that gives them great pride

We do not want to see kids reading from notes. They do not need to be an expert in any particular area, and they do not have to have any experience on stage or in podcasts. We are not looking for actors reading scripts but prefer when kids show us who they are in real life! We recommend asking questions off-camera, interview-style. The video application should be emailed by parents/guardians to: thebigfib@gzmshows.com as an .mp4, .mov, .wmv, or .avi file. Please include an adult’s full name in the email.

Kid contestants must be between 8-11 years old, and they must be able to make a high-quality recording of themselves at home. To do that, they will need:

• A reliable internet connection
• Wired headphones – not wireless earbuds
• A usb microphone that plugs into your computer – independent of a headset
  • If you do not have access to an independent microphone, we can send GZM microphones within the United States
• A quiet room is preferable: a room without windows or windows with curtains that can absorb sound or a closet

We invite kids to record with us remotely on a rolling basis as we schedule each recording session. We record every few months on a Saturday, dates and times to be determined. Each episode recording session runs no longer than 90 minutes. Please note that because we have many fantastic kids waiting for an opportunity to join us, we may not be able to invite your child to participate for several months. We do appreciate your patience, and we hope that you continue to enjoy The Big Fib in the meantime!
